Is there a God?

Imagine if I made a model of the universe. It would not look that great, because I am not very talented in that realm. But, that asside, if I sit you down in my living room and bring the model before you.

Now imagine after you examine this, if I were to say to you, "nobody made this!" I am not sure you would believe me - correct?

Yet so many people look at the universe around them and claim there is no God and He does not exist. Why is this so?

A prejudice on the evidence

What reason would you ever come to the conclusion that my model of the universe never had a person who made it? Can you think of any?

Yet, many will claim you can't place the same logic on the universe. So what has changed? It's not a lack of evidence.

The Holy Bible says this about the one who does not profess to believe in God- in Romans chapter 1 verse 18:

"who hold the truth in unrighteousness"

That holding the truth is a coming against the truth, or suppressing it.

Robbing a bank

Imagine you plan to and carry out the robbing of a bank. You know it's wrong, but you push that reality out of your mind. You don't want to think about the consequences. You don't want to acept that there is a law written against it. You have no respect for the law, nor the ones who have to spend time and effort trying to catch you. It's similar with God's existence.

Deep down, you know there is a law giver, but you hope or want to be wrong. This so you don't have to face the consequences of any wrong doing in your life. Nor that you might have to live differently if God's reality is at the forefront of your day to day life.

Crystal clear

The Bible is crystal clear on the matter, and never assumes there is any true doubt in the heart and mind of any one person about God's existence. In fact, it says that you are without excuse.

"For the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse" Romans 1:20

It also presents the same logic as my model of the universe. "For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God." Hebrews 3:4

How do you know that there is a God?

"The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard." Psalm 19:1-3

It's not that God has hidden Himself, but rather, you must humble yourself and seek Him on His terms.

Good News

There is some very good news. God is a personal God and He desires you to draw near to Him. View the video below for more information.
