Bon Scott (of AC/DC) at 34 (Drink), Jimi Hendrix died at 28 (Drugs), Jim Morrison (of The Doors) at 28 (Drugs), Freddie Mercury at 45 (AIDS). Many things we seek after in this world, but how many of us want an early grave?
AC/DC sung - "Going down, party time, all my friends are going to be there too, I'm on a Highway to Hell". Are these lyrics really true? Since death is very real and you don't know when you will die, its important to ask these questions. A very wise man* once said "For what profit is it to a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul?" You should take heed of many warnings to us in the Bible - hell is a bad place, and it ain't no party. You may be enjoying the rock n roll 'lifestyle' and living life 'to the limit' but are YOU ready to face the consequences of your actions? God is Holy and Perfect and "He is coming to Judge the world with righteousness and the people with His truth.". One day the music WILL stop, YOUR life WILL end and YOU will have to face your Creator and give an account for all your thought life, actions and words. Your conscience tells you its wrong to lie, to steal, to take God's Name in vain, to murder (God sees hatred as murder), to commit adultery (lust is adultery of the heart). The Bible warns that "murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone" "the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes His name in vain." Hell is an eternal "furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth." and its the place of consequence for breaking God's standards. Please consider your soul. God loves you and has made a way for you to be saved from the guilt and power of sin (this is NOT through any good works or 'living on a prayer'). * Jesus died on the cross, taking your punishment and defeated death on the third day by coming back to life. "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." You must REPENT (turn from sin) and put your trust in Jesus and God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. "Jesus said .. "I am the way, the truth, and the life.
No one comes to the Father except through Me."".
