How to be sure of Heaven
REALISE... 1. That there IS a life after death and you MUST prepare for it.
2. That no matter how good you think you are and how wicked you have been, you are a sinner in God’s sight. “God shall judge the secrets of men by Jesus Christ” (Romans 2:16) “Lying lips are abomination to the Lord” (Pro 12:22)
3. That good works or any religious ordinances can never save your soul.
4. That God’s only Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, died on the Cross of Calvary to purchase salvation through the shedding of His own precious blood. He then rose again from the dead triumphant and victorious three days later.
THEN... 1. Come to Him “Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out” (Acts 3:19).
2. Trust Him alone for forgiveness of sins through the merits of His atonement on the cross of Calvary. His Word says, “The blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanseth us from all sin.” (1 John 1:7). “if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” (John 3:3). “whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13). Prayerfully read God’s Word the Holy Bible - a good place to start is the Gospel of John. Seek a Bible believing church to meet with Christians.
HOW TO BE SURE OF HELL
1. Deceive yourself by pretending or arguing that there is no such place.
2. Neglect making preparation for Heaven.
3. Try to get to heaven by any other way than God’s way.
